Consultation and Ordering
Fill out the contact form below. Virtual Memories will call to discuss your project in detail with you and give you a quote. We will always have a consultation. Every show is customized to your needs.
- We will ask you about the intended audience for the photo show, the occasion(s) and event(s) on which it will be based, and when it will be given. Will multiple copies be needed?
- Is there an overall message or theme?
- Team colors or mascot?
- When the audience watches the photo show, will they laugh or cry?
- Whose favorite music should be playing, and what is that favorite?
- Are there family jokes that Virtual Memories needs to hear, to understand a caption?
- Are there relationships we should know about -- uncles who would not want to appear on any screen together?
You should have a good idea how many photographs and video clips you will want to incorporate in your photo show, and not only because that number will help to determine the price. It will also affect the length and pace of the photo show. Stylistically, you may want a relaxed and leisurely photo show with gentle transitions that gives the viewer lots of time to see and think about each image. Or you may prefer a fast-paced photo show that develops a rhythm with quick transitions and carries the viewer along. Virtual Memories will help you suit the pace to the content. In many cases the pace will vary even during a single photo show, just as a single vacation may include downhill skiing and relaxation by the fireplace. Because of the varied pacing, there is no fixed relationship between the number of photos and the length of the photo show. Forty or fifty images, the typical minimum for an engaging photo show, might result in a photo show of four minutes to ten minutes, depending on the pace.
A down payment of 50% of the cost of the project is due at the project start. Once you give the final approval to complete the DVD rendering, your completed order will be shipped to you upon receiving payment by check.
